Urban bicycle commuters face severe visibility and identification issues at night due to the non-use of mandatory headlamps. Oakley proposed an Integrated Glove Lighting System to solve this. The system uses the rider's natural gripping motion to expose and activate LED lights hidden in the glove's knuckle area.
By radiating light from the rider's hand—a high visual point—it improves forward and lateral visibility and clearly identifies the rider to motorists. Additionally, it includes anti-contusion padding to protect hands during impact, enhancing both visibility and safety.
